Sweet Surprise!

Saturday's SURPRISE party was for our dear friend Kimberly. Everything turned out beautifully, her family and boyfriend and a few of her close friends worked so hard to make everything absolutely PERFECT. As you can see, they did a fantastic job....

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY KIMBERLY!!!

We didn't get to dance the night away with Kim and all the party go-ers since at the end of the night I wasn't feeling well, but the party was a big success and I know a great time was had by all.

And when we came home a little earlier than expected our own little party animal was having sweet dreams....

So many Birthdays!!!

Another special person to everyone at Little Bird Cottage is having a Birthday this weekend. We won't say this person's name since they are completely in the dark about their SURPRISE party which will take place just a few hours from now, but we hope to get few great pictures of the festivities to share on here. I've heard from a reliable source that at this very moment, everyone is really scrambling to get the decorations just PERFECT, for the BIRTHDAY GIRL. Can't wait to see what all the fuss is about!

Arden, (who will be staying with a babysitter while Mom and Dad are celebrating), says for everyone to have a great weekend!!!

Happy Antiquing!!

Today was my Mom's Birthday. Happy Birthday Judy! We spent the day with her "antiquing" in Comfort, Texas. Technically we only went to our FAVORITE store in Comfort; the store with the best prices and the most unique things, but we still went to an "outta the way" little town and hunted for some treasures, and that counts as "antiquing" in my book.

Afterwards we stopped for BB-Q at Andy's favorite BB-Q place. Judy let him pick even though it was HER birthday. She's sweet like that. :)

Don't judge us for looking VERY casual and a little rough around the edges in this pic--we had just finished ANTIQUING--which makes a person a little dusty...

Check out our Treasures!!!

Judy bought the table and small stained glass. Andy and I bought the large stained glass and the little stool. I was a little surprised when I came outside of the shop and Andy told me he was buying the little stool that Arden was sitting
on. All I could think was, "Where am I going to put that????"
But I was glad he was getting into the spirit of ANTIQUING!!!

Besides, it looks like this little stool was made for our little Arden...

I'm planning on painting the raw wood frame of that large stained glass a bright white. Then I'm going to hang it in this window below so I won't have to look
at my neighbors electrical boxes. Or my neighbor, for that matter. Just Joking :)

It was a great day for everyone, especially Arden who loved spending time with her MiMi.

Where the "Blog" have I Been?

I haven't been around on here much because I've been busy baking things like this:

And putting together gifts for special people...

And spending time with her:

Taking care of these two (that furry short one is a shit-zu) :

And taking care of this girl also:

Sometimes contending with this:

And cleaning up messes like this:

But for the most part, just having fun with these two:

In the midst of all of this, I still didn't forget about posting pics of Judy's Garden though, so Enjoy!

Welcome to Judy's Garden!

What Garden would be complete without a little blue Potting Shed?

I like to call this "Pig Alley"...

And when it's not to hot, you can go rest on the porch swing that's covered with pillows...

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!
